Your LinkedIn profile isn’t a digital CV, a career placeholder, or a brag sheet.

It’s your first conversion point.

Every prospect who lands on it is asking themselves one thing: “Is this the person who can help me?”

If your profile doesn’t answer that question in seconds, they’re gone.

Your profile isn’t about you. It’s about guiding your prospect from curiosity to action by:

Can you deliver results? Use your Featured section to showcase:

  • Case studies.
  • Testimonials.
  • Valuable resources.

This is where your expertise becomes tangible.

3?? Direction

If your profile doesn’t tell them what to do next, they’ll leave without taking action.


How to Guide Prospects to Action

1. Add CTAs Everywhere (Call To Action)

  • About section: “Think I can help? Message me or book a free call here: [link].”
  • Experience section: “Want to see how I’ve helped [client type]? Download this free guide: [link].”
  • Featured section: “Ready to work together? Book a strategy session here: [link].”

2. Optimise Your Contact Info [Under your headline]

Don’t leave this blank.

Add:

  • Your website url.
  • Email address.
  • A booking link.

3. Use the Featured Section Strategically (if you can't see it scroll down your profile and a menu bar will appear. Click Add profile section)

Include:

  • A free lead magnet (guide, checklist, training).
  • A discovery call link.
  • A testimonial video or webinar replay with a clear CTA.

4. Always End with a Clear Next Step

Every section should tell them what to do next:

  • “Message me for a free strategy call.”
  • “Download my free guide to [specific result].”
  • “See how I helped [client type] achieve [result] here.”


Why It Matters

Your LinkedIn profile is often your first touchpoint with potential clients.

If it doesn’t grab attention, build trust, and drive action, you’re leaving leads (and money) on the table.
