Did you know that everyone has a Personal Brand, including yourself?
You may haven't established it online yet.?
Jeff Bezos states, "Your brand can be defined as what people say about you when you're not around."
In simpler terms, it refers to your reputation and its impact on others.
Why is it necessary to build a Personal brand online?
Personal branding is crucial for influencers and business owners and all professionals in today's digital age.?
"Rebeca, I don't need to position myself. I don't need a . I am a backstage person who doesn't need to create a presence and authority and influence people."
I have heard that many times, and you know what: not positioning yourself is a position in itself. Cruising will lead you to crash!
I am worried when it comes to people looking for new jobs—in such a disruptive and competitive market, positioning yourself is more than meaningful! Setting your brand is about showing your best self!
Have you ever wondered why Personal Branding is essential for your career??
It's all about showcasing your best self, highlighting your strengths, skills, competencies, and experiences to the world.
To create a powerful personal brand, you need to define your identity and consider the impression you want to make on others. Building a personal brand goes beyond your current job title and showcases your professional achievements and personal values, opening up opportunities for you and your organization.
Defining and promoting your personal brand is vital for establishing relevance in your professional field, highlighting your unique talents, expanding your network, and ultimately increasing business prospects.?
Don't underestimate the impact of personal branding on your career and establishing yourself as a leader in your industry. It's often the first impression people have of you; even recruiters will investigate and draw conclusions based on it.?
For those seeking an advanced mid-level career, navigating job loss, transitioning careers, and discovering new job opportunities, establishing personal branding is more than meaningful in this disruptive and competitive market.
If you're hesitant about self-promotion, remember it can define your identity and influence how others perceive you.
By taking control of your narrative, you can avoid others defining you on their terms.

What are the first steps to creating a Personal Brand?
If you haven't established a personal brand yet and are considering establishing one, here are? things to consider:?
??Who am I, and what do I stand for:
Identifying the values that are significant to you and the things you are enthusiastic about is crucial. These should serve as the basis of your branding. A vital aspect of personal branding is establishing an identity that distinguishes you from others.?
Do not hesitate to express yourself and take ownership of your own stories. This approach will genuinely authentically enhance your brand.
??Which social media platform should I prioritize:
If you're just starting, limiting the number of platforms to concentrate on is a good idea. Choose to be where your target audience is. If you're seeking employment, a NED role, mentorship, or consulting opportunities, I highly recommend using LinkedIn.
Although I also use Instagram and YouTube, I have found that LinkedIn offers the best opportunities for coaching, networking, and partnerships.
LinkedIn is the world's leading professional network, with over 750 million users in over 200 countries.?It has evolved beyond being just a social network for job seekers and has become a platform for showcasing one's professional skills and personal brand. Relevant content is exchanged, and personal brands are promoted professionally.
??Am I ready to be consistently present:
Creating a powerful personal brand requires effort, but the results are ultimately worth it. It involves developing a visual style that reflects your professional identity and online presence.
After deciding on your style, you can participate by building authentic relationships with people in your community by engaging with their posts. Engage in meaningful discussions with people to broaden your understanding of topics related to your industry. It is unfair to expect support from your community without also supporting others.
??Last my not least:?
Don't let perfectionism and the fear of not pleasing everyone hold you back. Be brave and establish yourself online. I'm assured that you have a lot to offer.?
