Why Your Business Isn’t Growing (And It’s Not What You Think)

You’re doing all the right things—posting, engaging, adding value. And your coaching business still isn’t growing.

Here’s why (and it’s NOT what you think).

There is a common misconception that you have to hustle and grind your way to the top. Although you need to work for what you want, hustle and grind mentality only gets you so far. Even when you get to where you are going, you may notice a lack of fulfillment at the top.

I know because I was there and I have had conversations with over 3000 entrepreneurs, and when I asked what their experience is when it comes to growing their business many say, "It seems really hard!"

What they are doing is creating content, building their brand, working on a funnel and just putting themselves out there and many times it feels like their efforts are falling flat and not producing results.

Mind you, these actions are all great but if that's all it takes, wouldn't you have clients knocking down your door?

The truth?

None of these matter if you haven’t built the foundation of trust, systems, and support.

So what's the real issue you might ask?

In my experience, many entrepreneurs unknowingly operate like employees, waiting for clients to come to them. Even worse, they get stuck in information overload without a system and spend most days trying to figure it out on their own.

Some have invested a lot of money in solutions that haven't worked, while others lack the capital to invest and stay stuck for months or even years and then quit or go find a job.

We don't see that all of it is part of our process. It's part of expanding who we are as entrepreneurs and preparing us to receive more abundance.

When trust is broken—whether in yourself, in others, or in systems—you stop investing, stop growing, and hold back.

But success in business isn’t about playing it safe. There is nothing safe about being an entrepreneur. When you get comfortable with this harsh truth then you will be more open and willing to do what it takes to get out of your way to create the business and life you desire.

A Mindset Test: Are You Stuck in the Comfort Zone?

Ask yourself:

? Do you spend more time posting and hoping instead of starting real conversations?

? Have you invested before, but because it didn’t work, you’re hesitant to invest again?

? Do you tell yourself “I’ll figure it out on my own”, even though months (or years) have passed without real growth?

If any of these feel familiar, you’re not alone.

But here’s the shift: You don’t get paid for showing up—you get paid for solving problems.

If it feels like your business is at a stand still and things that worked in the past aren't working as well now, you can do these things today:

1. Invest time into getting to know yourself. Get obsessed about discovering your blind spots.
2. Take calculated risks. Do your research. If you are looking for a coach or a program to help you, make sure there is alignment in how you want to grow your business and not just adopt someone else's business model.
3. See that your setbacks are preparing you for the reward. Be ready to receive it.
4. Focus on these 3 business building strategies:

• Get clarity on the problem you solve and be able to communicate it in your content consistently.
• Create opportunities to have conversations with people.
• Build your credibility and leverage the credibility you already have.

Facts: Growing a business is like trying to hit a moving target. The online space, algorithms and market fluctuate. Shift with it. There is no right system. You must be willing to create a system that works for you and stick with it!
