Why Your B2B Intro Sales Emails Aren’t Working
All day, every day my email in-box is crammed full of cold emails from B2B sales professionals pitching their products and services; often referencing they called me when clearly, they had not.
Some are alright and I may read half; otherwise, the rest are bad… really bad.
I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve read – when I do read them –and thought to myself, “Did they even proof their own email?”?Right before deleting and often blocking them.
An introductory email is never meant to be a long dissertation of how amazingly awesome your company is in every way… in detail.?As a rule of thumb, shorter emails that remain concise perform better. ?Using bullet points instead of wordy descriptive sentences can do the job far better. And “The Ask” is always clear.
In addition, most of the email I receive I don’t even see, they end up in my “Junk” email folder as SPAM. ?Most companies you are emailing to of all sizes are conscientious of their email security and have implemented security filters to keep your emails out.
