Why You Shouldn’t Ignore DETOX in MONSOON?

Why You Shouldn’t Ignore DETOX in MONSOON?

This is that time of year when everything that accumulates during the summer needs to be gotten rid of. Individuals can benefit from Ayurvedic Detox Treatments when nature chooses to cleanse the environment in this way.

Let us see why and how!

Nothing more than the consistent rain, nice weather, and a Restorative Ayurvedic Treatment can adequately define a great Monsoon Season. The start of the monsoon season typically occurs in June, when the environment abruptly shifts from the hot and humid summer heat to intense downpours. This environmental change would have a significant impact on our body's strength and could upset the balance of the Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas suggesting that our bodies need extra caution and care to stay healthy.

This time of year, is marked by doshic imbalances and reduced immunity, according to Ayurveda.

In order to prevent imbalances in the body and to strengthen immunity, Ayurvedic therapies and treatments for the monsoon are now integrated with food regimens and lifestyle changes.

The only factor contributing to slow metabolism and digestive problems during the rains is the aggravation of Doshas. Additionally, disorders like arthritis, spondylitis, spondylosis, neurological symptoms, and other degenerative changes are brought on by an inflamed vata. Along with this, lethargy also begins to set in. Additionally on the list are hair loss, indigestion, hyperacidity, and skin diseases (including dermatitis, boils, and rashes).

Monsoon need adequate care to prevent illnesses because of the weakened immune system. Here are some recommendations for a rainy-season lifestyle.

Detox Treatments using Ayurveda will be used throughout the rainy season:

  • Abhyangam: One of the most popular treatments to fortify the body and increase immunity during the rainy season is abhyangam, an Ayurvedic full-body oil massage. It alleviates joint discomfort and aches, which are frequent during the monsoon. Abhyanga followed by swedana or sudation aids in efficient bodily detoxification.
  • Swedana: The monsoon opens up the skin's pores, thus creating steam is a good way to get rid of pollutants and revitalize the body. Ideal fomentation treatments include dry heat treatments or massages with warm medicinal therapies.
  • Basti: The medicated enema procedure helps the body cleanse and treats the colon, which helps to calm the dosha.

I find it amazing how many individuals neglect to schedule "health breaks" and "me time" into their schedules. The best way to handle the pressures of contemporary life is to take some time to relax, pay attention to your health, and give yourself at least one week to recover, recharge, and reflect. I frequently advise people to schedule a health retreat for one week in their 20s, two weeks in their 30s, three weeks in their 40s, and four weeks in their 50s, if they haven't already done so.

We welcome you to our Ayurvedic Retreat in Palakkad, Kerala and Ayurvedic Centers all over the Globe. We have the best Ayurvedic Doctors and Therapists around. Take a health break in light of everything we've experienced during these turbulent times.

DM me for additional information on how this might help you. Happy to assist in your health needs.
