Why You Shouldn't Apply for a Job at Salus

Everyone told me starting a business would be tough, but those first few months of Salus were smooth sailing. However, the journey took an unexpected turn in March 2020. Three phone calls in the same afternoon soon changed everything – both of my consulting jobs were cancelled due to COVID, and the company building my bowtie software had gone bust. I had nothing. It was a setback, and I remember vividly returning to my car alone and saying aloud: 'And so it begins.'
---
We've experienced the highs and lows of building a business, faced unexpected challenges, and yet achieved significant milestones. But we're not satisfied with where we are now – we believe there is so much more to be done.
And that's where you come in.
We want hungry, passionate individuals to join our team. People who are fearless in taking on new challenges and are focused on delivery. You don't need to have a perfect CV. Our success depends on the dedication and talent of our team. Everyone in our team is pushed hard, and they are all making an impact.
We would like to hear from you if you want to be an engineer, build products, sell software, market our services, manage operations, or help with business growth. Perhaps you have experience in similar companies, but perhaps you don't. You might be in the wrong job currently, returning to work, or want someone to take a chance on you. Maybe you are toward the end of your career and want a fresh challenge. New skills can be taught, but passion and a strong work ethic cannot. That's what we want.

Salus tries to make a meaningful impact. For example, nobody had ever considered looking at offshore HSE inspection letters to prevent accidents. We did, and our now award-winning research, published in January, has been downloaded nearly 5,000 times. Our software, which faced that setback in March 2019, is now sold globally, even reaching customers in Antarctica. Many were talking about AI in process safety, but few were building. We built – and now have customers paying for our AI products. Most Safety training is dull and long. We went in the opposite direction, and more than 1,000 delegates have completed our online course.
Our mission is to prevent major accidents and ensure that everyone working in high-hazard industries makes it home safely. Our small team of seven has already made a big impact. But we can achieve so much more. We are under-resourced, having to turn away work, and not maximising our opportunities.
Over the next five years, our goal is to 10x the business. We aspire to be the best in class in everything we do, not just to be another consultancy, training provider, or software provider. That can only be done with good people.
If the above does not resonate with you, then you shouldn't apply for a job at Salus. But if it does, and you are ready to take on this challenge, reach out to us. However, please send more than just a generic application - it's easy to fire off a CV. Do something that showcases your passion and commitment. Show us why you are the one.
We look forward to hearing from you.
We mostly do what we do with people we want to do it with.
1 年Nice one David - admire your vision and drive. All the best for 2024 and enjoy some downtime and Christmas festivities with the family before then.
