Why you should visit a Hospital at least once in your life?

Most of you are used to normal lives: waking up early, going to work or college, eating normally, hanging out with your friends or family, spending time on your hobbies, etc.

It is hard to imagine your lives with less than these "common" activities, but what you are not aware of is that your life can change completely overnight.

These are things you will learn only being at a hospital:

There are people feeling worse than you

You keep complaining about your job, traffic jams, your finance, the noise of you neighbours... No matter the problems you have or how sick you are there will always be people in worse conditions than you. Most of you make excuses and give up so easy because you think your conditions are more difficult than the rest of the people
You will realise you should be proud of the life style you currently have.

You are not as busy as you think you are

You think you are so busy, so important, you don't have time to stop by and say hi, don't have time to call your parents or family.
At a hospital you don't own your time, you would wish to be outside to spend your time on the things you didn't do because you were "too busy".

_______________________________________________________

You can eat any kind of food

You are so used to the food you eat at home... you won't eat anything else unless it is cooked by your mom or spouse.
Forget about this!
Being at a hospital you have to eat what they have for you, you will really appreciate the value of food... more than that, you will be more grateful than ever any time you get your food.
_______________________________________________________

You can wear anything

Usually you take long time choosing the cloth you'll wear, you spend many time in front of the mirror thinking if you look good enough.
Being in a hospital you don't have for such things. You will have to wear whatever they have available for you, even if it doesn't fit you. You won't be fussy  with your cloth or appearance any more!

_______________________________________________________

There is always a lesson to hear

You keep ignoring your parents when they give you an advice and you think you know everything, so listening others is a waste of time.
Being at a hospital you will be surprised of how much you can learn from other people and their stories.

Healthy is more valuable than wealthy

You keep presuming about the new car you will buy, the countries you visited last year for vacation and the great job you got... maybe you haven't been in a hospital before.
At a hospital there is no time to think about belongings, but to think how valuable is your health and life and how other people is even more grateful than you (even having less than you).

Hey. I spent some time in the hospital myself back in my teens, as I was very sick. My tenure was a little over 50 days for a heart condition. Even with that, there were still other kids who were in dire shape than I. Not all of it was gloom, though. A group of entertainers once brought in this dog (I don't know what breed it was, but it was kinda big), and you could ask it simple math questions, like "what's two plus four?", and it would bark six times. I thought that was the most amazing thing! Even anyone stopping by just to say 'hi' was a big deal. It causes you to be more appreciative and thankful for what you have, and it teaches empathy and humility. Still on meds to this day, although the dosages have changed and decreased drastically other years since they were first prescribed. I hope to someday be off this last med that I'm on. - C. out.

Most people hate the hospitals, but this post remind me the nice moments that I spent in the hospital when I was a child. A lot of teachings.
