I don't know about you, but I find it a little off-brand that ChatGPT's parent company is named OpenAI when their AI is anything but. First and foremost, I think it is important to note that OpenAI was established to advance research in artificial intelligence and ensure its benefits are widely available. At first, the organization actively promoted open-source initiatives and transparency. However, its focus shifted over time towards proprietary research and commercialization.
