Why you need to use a mortgage advisor

Why you need to use a mortgage advisor

I am a Qualified Mortgage Advisor and I will find you the best mortgage on the market for your specific circumstances, hassle-free!

Before I became a Mortgage Advisor I used the services of an advisor. The main reason was I was frustrated at the amount of time I was wasting talking directly with the bank. After four weeks and three 2-hour calls, I decided I had better things to do with my time.

So why you should use me as your Mortgage Advisor?

1. Save money

I will scour the available mortgages for you and check out the best deals. This isn’t just a case of looking for the lowest mortgage rates today, or the cheapest tracker mortgage or lowest fixed-rate mortgage. I will look beyond the mortgage interest rates to take into account all the other fees that will apply. Because what may look like cheap mortgages to you may not actually be that competitive when every fee and condition is taken into account.

2. Save time

By taking your circumstances into consideration, the benefits include showing you the mortgage deals that you have an excellent chance of being approved for by mortgage lenders. The cheapest rates in the market might not be available to you. You could waste your time trying to apply for a mortgage with a lender you have no chance of being approved on as your personal circumstances don't meet their specific requirements for that rate. This could result in declined applications and inevitably waste a lot of your time while affecting your credit rating.

3. Give you access to a wider range of mortgages

If you go directly to mortgage lenders, you’ll only see what they have to offer which will probably be a fairly limited range of mortgage products. I have a much better idea of what’s available to you from a wide variety of mortgage lenders.

4. Give you expert financial advice

I am qualified to help you find a mortgage and give you financial advice. I also have a duty of care to give you the best advice I can, rather than just push the option that will give me the most commission.

5. Take care of the application paperwork

The world of mortgage financing is full of jargon and tedious paperwork but I will take care of all that hard work for you. I’ll prefill your mortgage application for you so your new mortgage can go as smoothly as possible. In fact, you’ll probably only be asked to send in a few documents and provide a few signatures. I will practically do everything for you!

6. Know which lenders will process your application the quickest

Although a mortgage application should never be rushed, sometimes speed is of the essence. Because I deal with mortgage providers all the time, I know which provider to go to if a result is needed in a hurry and how to make sure the application is processed smoothly and with minimal chance of a delay.

7. Have the experience needed to chase up your application

There’s a fine art to getting a mortgage application processed. You need to know how to spot delays and where, when and whom to call with timely information or encouragement to speed things up without inadvertently causing issues and further delays.

What next?

If you have an existing mortgage and are looking to remortgage the best time to start the process is six months before your rate ends. If you are looking to purchase a new home it's very important to get the mortgage approved BEFORE your start looking for a new home.

If you have any questions or would like to use my services please let me know and I can set up a call to discuss your requirements.
