Why you should start over...

At aThink Architects, we are committed to creating innovative and inspiring new builds for homeowners and property developers. We understand that building a new property can be an exciting yet daunting task, which is why we take pride in guiding our clients throughout the process to ensure that their vision becomes a reality. There are numerous key benefits to a new build, so I have tried to consolidate them down to three - plus an added bonus benefit for any first-time-home-owners at the end.

1. Customisation and Personalisation

One of the main benefits of new build property developments is the ability to customise and personalise the property to your exact requirements. You can work with us? to design a property that meets your specific needs and preferences versus having an extension to an existing property, where you may have limited space to work with and are constrained by the existing layout and design.

2. Energy Efficiency

A new build property development can be designed from the ground up to be energy-efficient, with modern insulation, heating, and lighting systems. This will help to reduce energy bills and lower your carbon footprint, something that is only going to become more and more in demand. In contrast, older properties require extensive renovations to improve their energy efficiency, which (from our experience) are costly and time-consuming.

3. Lower maintenance costs

As new builds are built with modern materials and construction methods, this reduces maintenance costs over time. The property/ties will also be covered by a new build warranty, which gives peace of mind and protects you or your customers from unexpected repair costs. Extensions to existing properties always require ongoing maintenance and repairs, particularly if the existing property is older and in need of extensive upgrades to be market ready.

THE BONUS: Government Incentives are there to help

Custom build and self build homes are not just for people who have owned or built a home before or property developments. The Government backed ‘Help to Build’ scheme can make building your own home a realistic choice, even if you have a small deposit. In essence, the government can offer you an equity loan based on the estimated costs to buy a plot of land and build the home. The equity loan amount can be between 5% to 20% (up to 40% in London) of the total estimated cost. If you’re eligible, you can spend up to £600,000 on your new home.

So whether you are a homeowner looking to build your dream home, or a property developer looking to build a new development, our team of new build architects has the knowledge and expertise to guide you through every step of the process.?

We will work with you from our free initial consultation to the final handover, ensuring that your project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest possible standard.?

Get in touch today to discuss your new build project, and find out how we can help you to turn your vision into reality.
