Why You Should Seriously Consider Buying MADE IN AFRICA Chocolates

Gone are the days when Paris was the place to find the finest fashion in the world. Gone are the days when Switzerland was the only maker of the finest chocolate.” – Laduma Ngxokolo (African fashion designer)

While almost two-thirds of the world’s cocoa beans are grown in African soil, most of it is exported to Europe and America where it is turned into chocolate before being returned to our African shores. Result: beans are exported to manufacturers at depressed prices and the same manufacturers sell back their chocolate bars to Africans at a handsome profit.

We believe in growing the art of chocolate-making within Africa, using the rich resources we have and supporting farmers and their local communities to ensure that the profit remains in Africa.

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is the perfect opportunity to process raw materials locally and to transfer the added value as far as possible to Africa.

In order to achieve this goal, we must produce world-class chocolate in Africa - from tree to bar. In doing so, we create skilled, well paid jobs outside agriculture and multiply local income in the country of cocoa origin.

With every purchase of a MADE IN AFRICA chocolate product, you help to create qualified jobs in Africa, which in turn lead to higher income, better access to higher education and health care. No development aid, but a real opportunity. Be a part of Africa’s development story.

What resonates Mark is that our continent is RICH; but we are nett importers. For Africa to claim its rightful place we need to place more resources into conversion.
