Another 10% of respondents said they plan to upgrade their hardware this year, while 23% plan to upgrade their software and 28% plan to upgrade both.?

The other 39% should consider adopting the practice of modernization. Many businesses are modernizing, so they can leave those that aren’t in the dust if they don’t follow suit. In other words, these businesses will increase in efficiency and improve their ability to deliver their product or service. This will make it harder for non-modernized businesses to perform as well as they once did.

Modernizing also improves communication between coworkers and between employees and customers. Most businesses have moved on from solely communicating via email. Many businesses have started using Zoom and various messaging applications to improve their communication speed. Many AI chat services help communicate with customers, removing the need for a large call center or any call center at all.

Finally, modernizing means better security. Older IT business habits mean that there are probably well-known vulnerabilities that hackers can exploit. There are plenty of cybersecurity products that businesses can implement to improve the security of their systems.
