Why Law?
1. To further develop your critical thinking skills, including analyzing text, speaking and writing. Being able to pay attention to smallest details as possible is almost the main difference between the average and the best.
2. So you can do anything you want. This includes becoming President of the United States (Obama, Clinton), being a known Presidential candidate (Nader and Romney) and being a First Lady (Clinton, Obama). It gives you the power and the feeling of full-control in this world.
3. It teaches you how to deal with things that might come in your way and how to react with them.
Why Programming?
1. Programming makes things easier for you. You'll comprehend better the behind-the- scenes of a something in a logical and structured way.
2. Learning to program teaches you persistence. Being persistent is somewhat we know one of the hacks for succeeding into something. It is important to put it on the top of your "be-it" checklist.
3. Programming develops structured, creative thinking, stimulates and strengthens your brain. Plus it gives you an impression on your reasoning skills.
See what's common between these two? A lot. You don't need to apply for a University to learn these, it all starts first of what can you find in the internet, which is a bunch of resources. You will learn anything you want in just matter of minutes.
I do recommend you to start learning Law and Programming even just the basic stuff, as these two will give you a stretch-mark in your life or career in the not-far away future.
