Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa / SANAA is an architectural firm based in Tokyo, founded in 1995 by the architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa. With notable works worldwide, the firm’s identity is one?of?a?kind, designing clean modernist elements, winning them the Pritzker Prize award in 2010.

NO. 1 - LA SAMARITAINE

Located in the heart of Paris, La Samaritaine is a historic department store founded in 1869. The 2021 restoration revitalized the building's fa?ade establishing a harmonious relationship between those parts that are renovated and those that are new.

Built on the campus of Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), The Rolex Learning Center functions as a laboratory for learning, a library and an international cultural hub for EPFL, open to both students and the public.

This facility serves as maritime museum with collections and exhibitions of marine resources. The spatial experience is heavily influenced by the “clouds” that generate several hemispherical spaces of different sizes, serving both structures and spaces.
