Mom is making breakfast for the family.
Got a package of clothing yesterday from a small company called Greenfibres.
Wearing my pajama top which came from England as I'm writing this.
Baby bro is on the bus.
It's cloudy outside — 72 degrees here in New York.
Let's talk about why you should have a tailor.
------------------------------
One of the things people need today is this:
Having a tailor.
You may be thinking:
"Why do I need a tailor?"
To make sure your clothes fit well.
There are different types of tailors:
You want to find the right tailor who will tell you the truth.
I found one and he wants me to look great.
Growing up, buying clothes off the rack in a clothing store was normal.
While trying on clothes is great, meeting a tailor made a difference.
A difference between a good fit and a perfect fit.
To find a tailor you can trust, find reviews on Yelp or forums.
Or message a stylist you admire.
This is what I've done:
Got a pair of chinos.
Called the tailor named Frank over the phone.
Asked if he could keep the original hem of the pants.
Frank said "Yes."
Went to the place and here's what happened:
The length was perfect and got the chinos in 3 days.
Tip your tailor.
You want to build a bond with your tailor.
Tailors are for anyone.
When I brought my dress shirts for the first time, both were too short.
Learned about my shirt size on October 31st and the collar.
During Election Day, I received a package of 2 new shirts.
Got to the tailor with less than 30 minutes before it closed.
Never tried on the shirts so this was going in blind.
For the shirts, they had to be "taken in".
It means to have a slimmer fit.
This time, the shirts were better.
The tailor said the length of the white shirt was perfect.
The length of the blue shirt was a little short.
Got my clothes pinned so the tailor can work on the shirts.
Frank recommended getting a blue shirt of the same size as the white one.
Until I mentioned the blue shirt with the longer length sold out.
You may have clothes in your closet you haven't tried on in a while.
Bring them to a tailor.
The right tailor will help you.
Write reviews for the tailor you trust on Google and Yelp.
They will appreciate it.
Start with the pants, and then the shirt.
You want to build trust with your tailor.
When the tailor earned your trust, you can recommend them to friends and family.
And people you know.
See you in the next one!
Talk soon,
Craig

6 天前The article is NOT only about tailoring, is it? Craig I loved the fact how you blended a lifestyle topic to something as critical as hyper-personalization. The focus should always be on building an authentic presence that screams nothing but uniqueness.
