Why you should consider redesigning your website

Websites have transitioned from being a company’s digital profile to a more commercial role. It’s no longer the case whether or not companies should consider having a website. These days, the focus is on how the website should perform in order to convert more business.

If your website is no longer reaching its potential, then it might be time for a redesign.

Although redesigns can be expensive, it’s a better option than potentially losing money due to no website.

What a website redesign entails

A website redesign involves large-scale changes to your website. During a redesign, elements of your code, content, structure, and visuals may change dramatically, giving your site a completely fresh look.

Why consider redesign

1. Everything changes, nothing is static

Even if you had the greatest website in the world back in 2001, it would be looking very out of place today if you didn’t make any large changes to it.

Design best practices change, technology changes and your target audience’s expectations change; your website needs to change to keep up.

2. Modern-day shop

Your website serves as a modern-day shop front, you want to make it attractive.

If a physical store has a broken sign, poor lighting, and a dingy interior, it’s going to struggle to appeal to people. It’s the same for a website; if it looks tired and out of date, your visitors are going to wonder if your business is tiring and out of date as well.

A website redesign is about more than just a facelift.

3. User experience demand

Okay, so let’s be honest, no one wants to spend time searching for stuff on a website. The average time a user spends on a website is about 45 seconds. Think about it this way, is my current website that easy to navigate? Will users find what they are looking for within the average time limit?

There is a constant demand for a more easy and user-friendly interface. People just want to ‘’click and get it’’ this might inform you on whether or not you should consider a quick fix on your UX

The goal at the end of the day is to have your website convert as much as it is generating traffic.
