Hi friend!
It's time to bring back the girls' trip — seriously. Yes, we love our significant others and families, but getting the group chat together IRL is as important as ever in this growing, disconnected world.?

Whether hopping from brunch to small boutiques or simply lounging around, the laughter and uninterrupted bonding time are all you need to lift your spirits and?boost oxytocin.
Let's be real: Nurturing friendships can be a challenge, especially in our busy lives. That's why, as summer unfolds, it's the perfect time to prioritize and plan that long-overdue girls' trip. It's not just a vacation; it's a meaningful investment in our friendships, a chance to strengthen the bonds that matter most.?

~ Why SPF is Importantnbsp;~
There is a lot of information (and misinformation) about SPF online, so we want to give you a crash course on what SPF really is and the different types, so you can make the best decision for you.?
But first, why is SPF and sunblock such a hot topic? Well, the FDA has not approved a chemical sunblock filter in the U.S. since 1999, and since it's 2024, you do the math! The FDA categorizes SPF as a drug, so the approval process takes a long time. However, many skincare experts believe the FDA should consider approving modern filters so U.S. companies can offer innovative and effective formulations like those already on the market in South Korea and Europe. Charlotte Palermino, one of our favorite skinfluencers, shares great insights into the U.S. SPF situation. ?

There is also a growing interest in the difference between chemical and mineral SPF, so here's a primer:
A?chemical sunscreen absorbs the sun’s UV rays, converting them to heat before they damage the skin’s DNA. Some chemical sunblock formulations may contain questionable ingredients (many?current studies are figuring this out). Still, a few on the market are formulated with cleaner ingredients. Just make sure to read the label.?
A mineral sunblock?sits on top of the skin, creating a barrier that helps block and reflect UV rays. Most physical sunscreen products are formulated with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, making for a thicker application that can be gentler on the skin.?
Whatever you decide, sun protection factor (SPF) is essential because sunscreen with SPF can help protect your skin from sun damage and reduce your risk of skin cancer. So, lather it on, ladies!?
