Why You Should Attend the 10th Tanzania Health Summit?

A Puzzling Question Answered

It was a time when I was searching for a platform where I could meet health professionals and learn from their experiences and best practices. I kept asking myself the question, "Why should health stakeholders come together?" Little did I know that my journey to the answer would lead me to the Tanzania Health Summit (THS).

My Experience at THS: From Puzzled to Mentored

In 2020, I was selected to attend the THS Youth Initiative, known as the Youth Capacity Building Program (YOCAB). This program was designed to mentor young health professionals like myself. It was here that I received valuable insights and lessons from experienced health experts on leadership, career development and communication skills. The interesting I never forget it was personal branding and how to create executive presence as young public health professional. This was a turning point for me and made me realize the importance of coming together as a community to address the public health challenges facing our communities.

Joining the THS Team: From Mentee to Contributor

Impressed by the impact of the THS, I joined the team as a youth program coordinator. I was able to contribute to their efforts and saw firsthand the positive impact that THS has had on the health sector in Tanzania. I was thrilled to be part of an organization that was committed to improving health care in Tanzania.The annual summit is a platform where health scientists, stakeholders, and government agencies share research and best practices, and explore possible areas for collaboration. I was also honoured to present my research paper on the factors associated with COVID-19 vaccine acceptance among pregnant and breastfeeding women in Dodoma during the 9th Tanzania Health Summit.

Health companies and stakeholders are given the opportunity to showcase their work and businesses, and young innovators are given the opportunity to pitch their ideas and are awarded and linked with important sponsors and stakeholders.

The 10th Anniversary: A Call to Action

As THS celebrates its 10th year of action, consistency and healthcare impact it's the perfect opportunity for the improvement of quality care in Tanzania. This is the time for all stakeholders to come together for achieving universal health coverage in Tanzania. The 10th anniversary of THS is the drumbeat for progress, and I strongly believe that it's a call to action for all health stakeholders to attend and contribute to this important event.

Lastly, attending the 10th Tanzania Health Summit is not just about learning and gaining new insights. It's about being part of a community of health professionals, stakeholders, and government agencies who are committed to improving the health sector in Tanzania.
