Why Not You? Why Not Now?

Why Not You? Why Not Now?

There's never a good time, is there?

?? There's always the busy-busy to be getting on with, so now is just not the right time.

?? It's back to school in September, then before you know it - Christmas preparations, parties, Nativity plays at school, carol concerts, then Christmas itself.

?? Then the New Year that seems a possible right time, until we get there. Then the weather's rubbish so schools close for the day, it's half term before we can blink and then Easter.

?? Perhaps you could start after Easter? Actually - there's a spell of good weather and we don't want to miss it stuck behind a computer for more than the day job, so maybe leave it until later in the year?

?? It's June - the kids break up soon and you've got so much to do before then, this just isn't the right time.

?? The school summer holidays are upon us.... now coming to an end, and it's off we go again.

Here's the thing. There's never a perfect time

You CAN Have A Coaching Business If You Want One

If you want this coaching business, it's yours. However, there is a catch—you need to do the work.

I've spoken to many coaches who wanted someone else to do it for them.

?? Coaches who paid appointment setters to fill their diary with '20 warm leads a week'. Yes, they had a diary full of appointments but not one of those leads had a clue what coaching is or why they were there.

?? Coaches who used Facebook ads to drive traffic to a landing page, where they offered a coaching package. The issue is that ads are good at amplifying a proven marketing message. Amplifying something that's not proven is a recipe for throwing money away.

?? Coaches who have engaged social media managers to do their marketing for them. The same thing applies here as with ads - social media managers can only amplify an existing marketing message. If you don't have a proven one, it's a waste of time, energy and money to engage a social media manager.

All kinds of mind monkeys get in the way of us taking the first steps towards building a coaching business, from a lack of confidence to a lack of knowledge and everything in between.
