WHY YOU NEED A WET FULLY AUTOMATED BIOCHEMISTRY ANALYZER
Human error! This is a significant risk in a laboratory setting and the percentage of human error can go far wide and its dependent on so many factors including fatigue which can be eliminate by automation.
Biochemistry tests and procedures are so involving especially in human minds and body and that increases the risk, take a case example of a case where you need to do calculations and pipetting of three reagents for one test in a procedure where you have to collect a supernatant and use it as a master mixture in running that test on a machine. Then after all that hustle you doubt your results and you have to repeat, that alone is enough disappointment for the day.
Automation eliminates tasks like pipetting precise quantities of samples and regents, mixing, incubation procedures and timing plus data and records management, and those are the main sources of errors
Speed is needed especially when numbers are many and in emergency cases, and by the way all health conditions are emergency, automation comes with speed and efficiency for that matter. In essence you only need to put your samples on the machine, program the machine and wait for your results in pre-determined time.

Derailing comments have been that automation is denying human jobs but that is wrong! As much as the process significantly reduces the labor requirements, it doesn’t eliminate jobs, the machine only makes work easier for the available workers. No one needs to work hard, just work smart
The most important reason why you need automation is the cost reduction. Especially in reagent consumption since fully automated biochemistry analyses uses minimum possible volumes of reagents per test. This are volumes which in normal conditions human being may not pipette. This in return increases the number of tests per reagent pack therefore reducing cost per test, this means that someone in business is able to maximize the profit.
Initially automation used to mean big robotic machines but thanks to the advancement of technology and microprocessors which is increasingly reducing the sizes of gadgets and now there are more compact fully automated machines with greater capabilities therefore there is no reason why someone should not acquire fully automated machines.
Give me your thoughts on disadvantages of automation.
