Why you need a standard equipment?

Why you need a standard equipment?

Video content is much more than a text. As report, the Global Average for Video Consumption is 17 Hours Per Week.

The increasing amount of time people spend consuming video content on a daily basis is a significant trend in modern media consumption. And daily request comes such as:

Why video disconnected?

Why video lost?

Why video can not display better?

...

If you are an industry player, doesn't matter you are a manufacturer, designer or IT engineer, it comes to the answer and its solution, "Why you need a standard equipment?"

The video starts with standard, and connect by standard.

The video standard started from Standard Definition (SD), and went through ED, HD, 4K, until now is 8K. If talked about the first broadcast studio from 1936, the video standard grows really fast in just 100 years.

As we said Starts with Standard, it is refer to beginning a video project with the standard format, such as Resolution standard and Codec standard. To be compliance with the standard, need to be compatible with old standard for the used equipments already installed, and meet with the new standard which the project are looking for.

To get the standard compliance, it is not by talking, it is achieved by connection, which is between devices or systems is made using standard interfaces. Common video connection standards include

  • CVBS (Composite)
  • SVideo (Y/C)
  • Component (YPbPr / YCbCr)
  • VGA
  • DVI
  • HDMI (HDMI 1.3, HDMI 1.4, HDMI 2.0, HDMI 2.1)
  • DP (DP 1.0, DP 1.1, DP 1.2, DP 1.4)
  • SDI (SD/HD/3G/6G/12G SDI)
  • USB (2.0/3.X)
  • HDBaseT (1.0,2.0,3.0)
  • SDVoE
  • ST2110(down compliance with IPMX)
  • NDI(4K Full NDI|HX3|HX2, FHD Full NDI|HX3|HX2|HX)
  • Dante
  • Ethernet (H265/264/SRT...)
  • Fiber
  • ...

These are the physical interfaces happened every day here and there, not only AV engineers work with them, but more and more consumers trouble with them.

If you just need a standard video source for daily work, MSP 200 is the right equipment. It supports CVBS, VGA, DVI and SD/HD/3G SDI outputs, and also the analog audio generator.

RGBlink delivers FHD Test Pattern Generator MSP 200 into the industry on InterBEE 2014 for its 50 years anniversary.

And if you need more than a generator, MSP 200Pro is the next option.

MSP 200Pro delivered from 2018 and integrates all the MSP 200 features and add inputs ,preview monitor and convert functions too.

MSP 200pro provide more than a test pattern generator as a source, also genlock generator for system sync reference. And with its inputs by HDMI, SDI and USB 2.0 player, it brings much more features for onsite operation and a countable trouble shooting tools.

And once you are looking for a 4K tools, MSP 405 is the answer.

MSP 405 comes with the standard interfaces including:

12G SDI

HDMI 2.0

Fiber

Both is bi-direction as Input or Output.

And a local monitor is built in to preview the input signal and also for touch panel control.

With these inputs and outputs, MSP 405 is not only used to bridge the interfaces for checking, but also ready to be a converter and extender to bridge the different standard connections.

MSP 200, MSP 200Pro and MSP 405 are 3 generation Standard Pattern Generator from #RGBlink, they had been packed into many of the Rental house, System Integrator, Research Center, University and Company for daily standard check and trouble shooting.

As the industry manufacturer, RGBlink is proud to provide the Standardization Tools to be trouble shooting for the installation, also to reduce the cost and make a standard equipment affordable and widely useful.

If we look into the 8K future, it is still a long way to go, and much more to do. Fortunately, RGBlink is leading in D8 for 8K image processing.

You are more than welcome to send your request and comments to [email protected], and let's deliver the next standard equipment better together!
