Why You Need Skills to Grow Africa
By Eunice Victoria
I got a bundle of joy this year in January. A very beautiful baby girl named Ella. The first month was just learning and unlearning, Honestly, it was learning on the job. Apparently, I had not prepared at all. Everything I knew I had either read or been told. Bathing the baby, feeding her, clothing her, and ensuring she was safe from hazards was not as easy as I thought it would be. I found myself with almost no minute for myself.
It is now her fourth month on this earth and by now I have trained people around how to take care of her. She has a schedule that someone can easily follow. I have mastered taking care of this baby such that I know what she wants with any sound she makes.
This is what Skills to Grow Africa does. Structuring your career is hard for any first-timer. Everyone needs someone to go through this hell with them, to understand what they are going through. You need someone to show you the direction and identify any hazard that will keep you from reaching your destination.
The reason I started this venture was that I needed to be someone I thought everyone including me needed. This birthed Skills to Grow Africa is an organization that mentors, empowers, motivates, and inspires African millennials to achieve their full potential through communication so that together we can create a world where everyone has influence.
