Why you need to set goals to power up your real estate career.

Every year I sit down and do a BIG goal setting session to set myself up for the year ahead.

I review what I have in my future vision, what I achieved in the past 12 months, what I needed to improve on and what steps I now need to take to move forward.

Goal setting has been one of the major reasons I have achieved all that I have in my career and why I think that they are essential for any real estate agent looking to power up their career and life.

I know that goals are essential to your development and success.

They provide you with a target for which to point your life and when executed correctly, guide you in the direction of your dreams.

You may well still achieve parts of your vision without setting any, however putting goals into place helps you create a pathway to achieving them, making the whole process more efficient!

Want to change your life completely?

Sit down, set goals, and work out your daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly action plan to achieve them.

Goals help you to sharpen your focus. They help you figure out what is important to you in life, and they can help you measure the progress you have made.

But goals also need to be actioned. Implementation is the key to your goal setting.

Build the vision, then work out the action plan!

For each goal you set, break down all the steps that you need to take to achieve it.

If it’s a financial goal, for example, break it down:

• How much do you want to earn?
• What does this equal - quarterly, monthly and weekly?
• How many properties do you need to sell to achieve it?
• How many properties do you need to list?
• How many listing presentations do you need to do?
• What are your prospecting targets to achieve it?

Then map out a plan to implement each action in your ideal week and do it and keep yourself accountable by measuring it against your goals!
