Why you need to publish content consistently

Great copy is, well, great. But it’s not enough to drive your marketing and sales strategy forward. It has to be consistent as well.

One of the challenges I often experience with clients is that they want to publish content consistently – one article per week, for example. But they also want control of the briefs. Life gets in the way, and they struggle to come up with ideas for their articles. The one article per week soon falls by the wayside, and their content schedule becomes more ad hoc.

The thing is, ad hoc doesn’t work half as well as consistency. When you publish great content on a regular, predictable basis, you:

·?????Generate a following – Great content creates raving fans who will share your articles with their network, creating a flywheel

·?????Create trust – If you can publish at the same time on the same day each week, you come across as someone to rely on

·?????Build authority – Want to position yourself as an industry expert? Create content that answers your prospects’ questions before they ask them. Consistency allows you to build up a bank of valuable content

So, how do I ensure consistency when I work with clients?

I set a minimum contract of 3 months (or 12 articles). When we start working together, I’ll get to know your company, what you sell and who to, the challenges your prospects face and why you’re the answer.

Then, I’ll draw up a list of ideas for the entire period. No briefs, no hassle. I take it all off your hands. One great piece of content per week, ready for you to publish.
