Why You Need a New Belt
In 1993 I left home to live and work in Uruguay for a couple of years. I immediately fell in love with the warm people, the beautiful country, and the delicious food!
Though I was expecting tacos and spicy food it turns out the incredible dishes are inspired by the Italian and Spanish heritage of Uruguayans, not our friends from Mexico. Despite a very active schedule and lots of walking and riding my bike, I put on 30 pounds of "table muscle" in a just a few short months.
In addition to my adorable chipmunk cheeks, I also grew out of my pants. It meant that my belt didn't fit right. Getting a belt that fits is a problem I've had my entire life.
Before you jump to conclusions on my yo-yo weight I should add that I've since lost the extra 30 pounds and will hit my 30 year class reunion with a size 30 waist, the same size I wore when I graduated from high school.
No, my problem with belts is they don't fit because there are normal fluctuations from season-to-season and even from week-to-week. I can never get the right hole aligned to hold up my pants and then the belt stretches and doesn't look right because there is too long or too short of a tail. It's a never ending problem.
Imagine my curiosity when I read a post from Jon Richards, in which he asked the following:
"Pitch me on a product you use and LOVE. I’m not talking about products like an iPhone or F-150… But a gem you found that not too many people know about, but that you use and LOVE."?

Multiple contributors to Jon's post mentioned Grip6 belts.
I'd never heard of Grip6, but when I read about their story, saw the cool product and realized that my belt problems could be solved I bought a belt! Mine is black with a really cool American flag buckle. I absolutely love my belt. It looks clean AND it adjusts without any holes! All you do is slide it for a perfect fit that stays snug (or loose depending on how big your last meal was).
Check them out at Grip6 Belts. I'm not affiliate, I don't get a commission I'm just a happy customer.
Now I have added to Jon's post: I love my Grip6 belt. What about you? What is a product that you love that is relatively uncommon?
