Why You Need to Consider Case Studies as One of Your Marketing Tools

37 years ago, my paternal grandmother told me about a drug that helped me relieve the severe pains I suffered from a burl when I was a kid.

???????Do you know why I’m finding it hard to forget the name of the drug even after all these years?

????????She didn’t just tell me the name of the drug but the narratives of the story that surround the drug

Do you want to get or attract your leads' attention? There’s a sure way to do that. Generally we humans are hardwired for stories. This makes it hard and almost impossible to ignore when we come across them.

Do you want marketing content that will resonate with your prospects and cause them to make quick business decisions?

Consider this snapshot:

Imagine your conversion rate is inclining and you are closing more sales. This can be as a result of the benefits of case study on your website.

  • Case studies don’t make big promises before it persuades your leads to believe it
  • It’s favored by most of the businesses because they don’t focus on marketing hype
  • They offer real-world results and real-life scenarios. In essence case studies are proof of your product or service's solutions
  • There is nothing more persuasive to your prospects than reading the true life story and learning the journey of how your product or service has helped a fellow business like them solve a problem they are likely facing.

What all these means is that stories are pretty important in your web contents if you want to make a connection with your target audiences and you want them to begin to like and trust you. And as well as you want them to remember what you say, then your customer's success story will play a vital role.

In Psychology there’s what is called “cognitive fluency”. And according to scientists, it is the ease with which human being's brains process information. Items that are easily processed are considered to be “fluent”.

This brings us to how cognitive fluency can quickly or easily make your prospects convert.

And according to the Content Marketing Institute and Marketing Profs' report, B2B content marketing: 2013 Benchmarks, Budgets, and Trends, Case studies are the second -most effective content in B2B marketing.

For example if you have two speakers passing the same important message to you in different ways.

I guess you would have an emotional preference for the storyteller speaker compared to the one that shares the message via data and information.

You need to consider adding a new customer's success story to your marketing content at least on a monthly basis. This will maintain your leadership thought amongst your competitors and it would show that your product or service is providing a solution to a wider range of audiences and this will make your lead to trust you more.

Do you know that case study is formulaic and it has sequences?

That reminds me, there's one hidden benefit of case study businesses aren’t exploring.?

There is a section in the sequences of case study that would describe your customer's company and what they do. That means with your case studies, you would be helping your customers increase their brand awareness after the solution you have provided for them, that means double happiness for them.

But remember nobody loves a boring or shallow story. Do you want the one that would make your lead act?

I am of course available and I would be glad to help with the case study content that would stir your prospects' emotion and end it with a soft Call To Action (CTA) that would make them engage with your business.
