This is why you haven't gone viral yet

New client win!

Our client, an immigration law firm in the US, went viral on TikTok with less than 400 followers.

After posting for 6 months and getting a maximum of 250 views, Marketing Bound analyzed the client's stats to see what was happening.

Here is what we found:

  1. It was too long to get to the point. The first line of their videos did not captivate the audience. If you cannot captivate your audience in the first sentence, they will not stick around for the rest of the video. The solution: Tell people about the video in the first line.
  2. Similarly, their videos were over 2 minutes. You want people to stick around for the entire video. This tells the algorithm that people like your content. The easiest way to “trick” the algorithm is to shorten your videos. The solution: Make shorter videos. Give the information in 30 seconds or less.
  3. The videos were very informative. This is not a bad thing. However, it’s not what you need to build an audience. You need to discuss topics that are still aligned with your target audience but can appeal to many people. I call this high-level content. This is the content that reaches the most people. It has the most potential to go viral.

After applying these changes to their content, they went viral twice. They also gained over 1000 followers within two weeks.

The moral of the story is that your followers and previous results don't matter. With the right content, you can reach more people and build an audience.
