Why You Got To DECIDE!
Throughout our lives we're going to be told who we are:
?? How we NEED to act
?? What we HAVE to do
?? How we MUST live our lives
It will come from many sources. Our parents. Our teachers. Our friends. Pretty much anything we're continuously surrounded by! ??
And over time, the sum of these influences will define the way we see ourselves. There's a great saying: "You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with." ??
Surround yourself with people who want the best for you and you'll reach your greater potentials. ??
But surround yourself with people who put you down and you'll find their personal limitations rubbing off on you. ??
To put it simply: our environments heavily shape us as individuals, whether we want them to or not. ??
But here's the problem: a lot of us don't proactively CHOOSE our environments. We tend to follow the crowd, where others tell us we need to go, and like a puppet on a string we're constantly pulled around one way or another. ??
?? But when you aren't making the final decisions, there is no You. ??
I'm talking about your individuality. Your independence. You defining You. Because when You don't make choices for yourself, you're always going to be at the whim of your environment making it for you. ??

If you don't act on life, life will act on you. And what it may have in store for you is not what you want. ??
What I'm proposing is you starting to take back control. What I'm proposing is you taking the driver's seat and cutting the puppet strings you no longer want and holding onto the ones you do. ??
"But there's so many strings! How do I know where to start?!" ??
Let's keep it simple. Start with this...
?? Separate the things what you want for your life from the things you're told you "should" want. Because they're 2 separate things. ??
I challenge you take some time to think about this. Write it down if it helps. I think you'll be very surprised to see what you find! ??
