I was sure to send them screen shots so they can wallow in their ego and scared pockets.
First, we started exporting orders and importing them into Facebook as an offline conversion event.
And time after time it’s been dramatic!
Campaigns that appeared unprofitable - started scaling revenue by 2k a day simply by uploading data that was once tracked by the pixel.
Notice the image above. The left purchase column is offline uploads tracked back to ads... the right purchase & ROAS columns is what was tracked back to the pixel. For e-commerce this loss of attribution is crazy! Especially in Q4
Secondly, the race has changed. The prize and spoils no longer go to the person who has the best product and/or offer on big blowout weekends like these.
They go to the person who starts building and nurturing their audience first.
Not a couple days prior, not the week of, maybe the month of - but my secret was 2-3 months prior.
I'm talking 2-3 months of ads with no conversion campaigns behind it, strictly Reach and Traffic ads to get people engaging and to a landing page for the lost cost possible.
The ads were value driven with no sales copy. We even filmed a FAQ video live and then ran it as an ad to ensure all the objections have been handled before going in for the right hook ??
Get all the testing of your creatives out of the way well beforehand. You want to have high bids on these to compete with the whales so its best you only have your top performing ads armed and ready for the big weekend.
Can you see how you can imagine most business owners wouldn't be able to see passed spending for that amount of time without making many sales, only to come back in the 4th quarter and blow everyone else out of the water?
It's because they're in it for the short gains, which as markers, we know we have to be smarter than that.
