Why are you an educator?

Welcome back dear PostdocTransformer!

This is a short newsletter edition, as we are on our summer break.

In the last days I finished my last lectures for the semester, I graded all exams and student assignments, I wrote a student scholarship recommendation letter and a book review.

I accepted my teaching modules for the next semester.

Maybe this is relatable to you.

Maybe it's inspiring for you as an educator.

I see myself only as successful, when my students are empowered to use my teaching at their workplace. Their positive results, if related to my teaching, speak for my teaching.

There are certain topics, like burnout prevention, diversity, leadership, people development, networking, gamification, FutureOfWork etc, which I recurrently stress within my lectures.

So, it's no surprise, that I have dedicated a couple of our PostdocTransformation show episodes to bachelor and master students, too.

On that student page,

1. they can find these and upcoming student-centric episodes in an embedded player,
2. they can sign-up to an irregular newsletter which invites them to fun days at companies etc. or
3. they can suggest their own employers and become my interviewee to give back to my current students.
4. they can also play the learning games, my best students co-created under my supervision for my ongoing lectures.
5. I try to walk my talk for them, so they can themselves help the next generation.

In the next editions over the summer, I will rediscuss our listener's favorite PostdocTransformation show episodes (and no, unfortunately for me, it's not my AI solo episodes, LOL).
