Why are you doing what you're doing?

Why are you doing what you're doing?

Why are you doing what you’re doing?

This is an interesting question to consider, it's a simple question, but it creates an interesting thought process when related to particular subjects.?

Often, people place an incredible amount of pressure on themselves to do certain things, typically around ‘hobbies’. They use terminology like I need to do X, Y and Z or I didn’t do X, Y and Z. They create a negative mindset around these ‘hobbies’.?

So, what I’m on about?

Something I often hear is, I need to run, I need to go for a bike ride, I need to do ‘this’.?

It's a damming and incredible statement that creates a lot of pressure on yourself.?

So why are you doing what you are doing?

If you're a runner, then why are you running?

If you are running for the mental health benefits, then is this statement doing you any favours??

When you don't do what you set out to do, then make sure you use positive terminology.?

Don’t use negative terminology!?

Be positive!?
