Is this why you do that?

When times get tough...What's your pattern?
Do you tend to 'freeze'? Where you become totally inactive, your mind goes BLANK, feeling like a rabbit in the headlights. Where you follow it up with getting lost in a Netflix binge, scrolling endlessly through social media or comfort eating.
Or do you get stuck feeling like you need to 'flight' and run away? Where the urge to GET OUT builds and builds. Your legs get fidgety, heart pounding, sweaty palms and just feel restless.
Maybe you deal with things through the 'fight' response? Where you're snappy toward loved ones, you quickly lose your temper over the smallest things and you feel irritable.
Or maybe you're stuck in the 'fawn' response. Where you keep putting up with and putting up with, sacrificing yourself through people pleasing but all the while wishing you could speak up more.
These learned safety response were probably VITAL to you at some moment in time, or maybe during many moments of your past.
You may already know what your pattern is. But if it's a little unclear for you, these prompts can often help.
Because when that response helped you get through and survive that particular moment, your system LEARNED this is a way to cope that WORKS.
And so if your mind can link what you're going through now, with what you went through then, your system reverts back to what works.
Your current challenges don't have to be the same as back then, if they are in ANY WAY associated, or even symbolic of, the same response can be activated.
For example, if when you were young you could hear an abusive parent shouting or screaming in the room next door, as an adult, a raised voice or sharp tone might be similar enough to trigger the same survival-type reaction.
Our first step is, if we can, to show an appreciation for the response we used to use.
Whenever we can see how those old behaviours served us, we can see them as a strategy.
A strategy that USED to be necessary.
But if they are still holding you back today...
It's all but a guarantee that your quality of life is being hampered.

And it's all but certain you'll struggle to reach your potential while these barriers are blocking your progress.
If your nervous system is still detecting threats or dangers in your environment and triggering the freeze, flight, fight or fawn response, I know first hand how much it sucks, and how much you probably criticise yourself for it.
But what if you could UNLEARN those responses?
Rather than digging through all your past history and traumatic stories, what if you could UNLEARN the patterns holding you back?
What if you could soften them, ease them. reduce their intensity, learn new strategies and boost confidence?
Well this is my focus and intention for you for the end of 2024.
I'm finishing the year with a Six-Session-Sprint where we will work through each of the limiting amygdala responses (freeze, flight, fight or fawn), to quickly and efficiently 'clean up' those old, learned responses and help you get back to being yourself again BEFORE Christmas.
In other words, we will help you to soften them, ease them. reduce their intensity, learn new strategies and boost confidence in your ability to cope in NEW ways.
So you can be RESPONSE-able rather than feeling overwhelmed.
So you can go into this festive season with a calm, grounded, relaxed mindset and ready to make 2025 your most enjoyable year yet.
What's more...
As its six sessions, and the limit is six 1-2-1 programmes, its coming in with 46% OFF.
This invitation is a first come, first serve basis until the six spaces are filled.
