During my clinical career, I worked mostly at a state medical school. In other words, I simultaneously was employed by three of the most change resistant industries: academia, government and sick care.
Most people are resistant to change. Why, and what can you do about it?
Loss of control.
Excess uncertainty.
Surprise, surprise!
Everything seems different.
Loss of face
Concerns about competence.
More work.
Ripple effects.
Past resentments.
Sometimes the threat is real.

Change is stressful. As such, the result of the stress responses leaves you with a few options: fight, flight, freeze, favor
Indeed, many argue AI simply isn’t ready for prime time even when it comes to unsupervised decision-making, because it lacks empathy, originality, and ethics. And even if entrepreneurial AI is an inevitability, the most important thing for now is to be aware of the possibility and to understand what it means for you as a current or aspiring business-builder.
