Why Write

I find writing as an important facet of human communication in today’s digital world.
I discovered a passion for writing when I joined LinkedIn. My passion grew after I came to know about Medium.
But why do we write?
And what pushes us to take a pen or type on a keyboard? - phone, tablet, or pc.
The answers lie in the profound impact writing has on our lives and the world around us.
Firstly, writing is a means of expression. It allows people to express their thoughts, feelings, and ideas in a tangible form.
Through the written word, we can interact in the deepness of our imagination, transmit complex emotions, and share our unique viewpoints with others.
Also, writing functions as a tool for connection. Nowadays, where physical distance can keep us far from each other, written communication brings relief.
Hence, you can agree with me that through writing, we can build relationships, develop understanding, and create ties that surpass boundaries.
Also, writing is a form of empowerment. It gives a voice to the voiceless and a platform for underprivileged communities to share their stories and feelings.
From protest signs to literary magnum opuses, writing has the power to challenge injustices, inspire change, and shape the course of history.
Thus, through the written word, individuals can advocate for social causes, intensify marginalized voices, and marshal movements for development and equality.
And, writing promotes critical thinking and creativity as well. In solving a complex problem or creating a persuasive narrative, writing encourages us to think deeply, analyze information, and explore alternative perspectives.
I believe that, through writing, we improve our ways of thinking, sharpen our communication skills, and expand our mental perspectives.
So, the next time you take a pen or open a blank document, remember the meaningful impact that your words can have.
I am still improving my writing, with the precaution of not relying too much on AI-generated content because human writing is beautiful and interesting. I write almost every day on Medium and write here in my newsletter once or twice a month. I am learning a lot as well.
People use other platforms to express their views and expertise, and they generate income from there. Apart from Medium, there is Substack, ConvertKit, etc.
Let me know your reactions in the comments. Thank you.
