Why Would An Organization Overhaul Their Own Logo (And Entire Brand) Right In The Middle Of A Global Pandemic?

12 Mavens which ordinarily helps American small business owners scale faster and navigate the typical, every day ups and downs of entrepreneurship is in the process of completely transforming the organization going forward into the future.

In recent weeks, the community of CEOs that launched in 2013 has seen a total shift in what entrepreneurs need during the coronavirus pandemic and what they will need in the subsequent months of economic impact after it.

“In March the bombs started dropping everywhere almost over night in the US.” Said Jeff Davis, the founder and Chairman of 12 Mavens. “People obviously new about coronavirus but within a few days they were seeing Disney’s parks shut down, Broadway, and the NBA shut down. They saw The Tonight Show being broadcasted from Jimmy Fallon’s home without an audience. Everyone was in total shock and terrified.”

At the same time, the word epidemic turned into pandemic. The fear of a possible recession became confirmation that the recession (or even worse) had already arrived.

While the bombs were going off, Davis noticed a small handful of CEOs in 12 Mavens’ community of entrepreneurs immediately disappeared and retreated into their caves, pausing their membership and simply hoping things would get better quickly. What Jeff Davis says he was astounded by was how the overwhelming majority of members started to leverage the community’s moral support, each other’s resources, each other’s ideas, information and connections in ways they never had before.

“While the bombs were going off everywhere, I started reaching out to the top experts in the world on leading through crisis, on getting business loans, on resourcefulness, on infectious diseases, on no cost marketing tactics and I started asking them all if they would be willing to get on these live Town Hall meetings that I wanted to put on for business owners for free. Not one expert said no.”

About once a week, 12 Mavens has been hosting their live online Town Hall meetings sharing resources and getting critical information into the hands of America’s small business owners as early and often as possible.

Davis says “If business is war without bullets, there are bodies going down all over the battlefield right now. We’re just trying to serve as a medic that’s helping get them onto stretchers, onto helicopters and home safely to the ones they love.”

12 Mavens has been so inspired by the way their community is pulling together and helping each other, that they are fast at work on replacing the only logo they’ve ever had. When asked, Davis said "we want something to represent and to remember how entrepreneurs have the ability to help each other rise from the ashes again and again."

In addition to their new Town Hall events and new logo, they are actively working around the clock on a completely new platform that allows the entrepreneurs and CEOs in their community to stay connected 24/7, sitting in on virtual roundtable meetings and privately exchanging information in real time.
