Great article, Richard. I for one see tremendous value in a BMC. As you will know I also value individual mentors having hired yourself. Proof can be in the pudding when you get out of the weeds into the helicopter due to a positive outside influence (consultant/coach) who changes the way you think, feel and therefore perform, enhancing better decision-making. A question, Richard, if I may. How do you approach or consult with the Director of a business with poor and toxic management that is a major obstacle to staff motivation, development, and evolution? I believe what's often overlooked, albeit unintentionally, is how valuable the teams are. The manager is really a figurehead, and their absence is barely noticed, whereas without the team, the business would quickly implode.
