Why Work with a Book Coach?

The idea of documenting your stories, insights, and expertise is compelling, but the process itself can feel daunting. You may be unsure about how to start or complete the book, and maybe you're not even sure whether you have a message anyone will care about.

This is where a book coach can make all the difference. Acting as a mentor, guide, and accountability partner, your book coach helps you push through to make sure your vision becomes a reality.

Your book coach is your collaborator in the writing process, providing guidance and support from concept to completion. Whether you’re writing a memoir, a how-to book, or a thought leadership book, your book coach helps you clarify your ideas, structure your narrative—and keep going through the hard bits.

It’s like having a personal trainer for your writing—someone who pushes you to achieve your goals while offering encouragement and expertise along the way.

Why Work with a Book Coach?

1. Clarify Your Vision. Every great book starts with a clear purpose. Your book coach helps you identify why you’re writing and what you hope to achieve. By honing in on your objectives, your book coach will make sure your work stays focused and impactful.

2. Simplify the Process. The idea of writing an entire book can feel overwhelming, especially for busy professionals. Your book coach breaks the process into manageable steps, guiding you through each phase.

3. Stay Accountable. One of the biggest challenges in writing a book is maintaining momentum. I not only support clients as they write, but also “poke and prod” them into staying on schedule!

4. Enhance Your Message. Your book is a reflection of your expertise and perspective. Your book coach helps you articulate your ideas clearly and compellingly, ensuring your message resonates with your target audience.

What to Expect from a Book Coaching Partnership

Here’s what the collaborative experience will look like if you decide to work with me as your book coach.

Initial Consultation

We begin with a conversation to discuss your goals, ideas, and expectations. This helps me understand your vision, and together we will develop a customized plan.

Regular Meetings

We’ll have scheduled check-ins by both email and Zoom to review progress, discuss challenges, and refine your work. These meetings keep the project moving forward and provide valuable feedback.

Ongoing Support

I’m available to answer questions, offer guidance, and provide encouragement throughout the journey. And if you get stuck, I’ll help you get unstuck!

Final Review

Once your manuscript is complete, I can help you polish it so that it’s ready for publication or submission to publishers.

Invest in Your Vision

Working with a book coach is an investment in yourself and your legacy. Top professional athletes work with coaches to keep them at the top of their game. With me as you book coach, you’ll be at the top of your writing game and produce a book that will make you proud.

Take the First Step

Whether you’re just starting to explore the idea or ready to dive in, DM me for a no-obligation exploratory Zoom call.

Happy writing!

I have a few spots open to coach authors who want to write their book themselves but need some support as well as some poking and prodding. If that’s you, drop me a line at [email protected] and let’s have a no-obligation chat about how I might help. You CAN write your book in 2025—let me help you do it!
