Why The West Lies To Us On Ukraine And What It Could Mean For India

I have been appalled at the standards of Western media reporting on Ukraine. I had posted earlier about a CNN report purporting to show footage of President Putin struggling to get up but a simple fact-check from other channels showed that the Russian president had simply asked people to stand to respect the fallen Russian soldiers. Sadly, as the war has gone on so have the lies and manipulation. I’ll start by tackling the three main ones

Russia destroyed the Nord Stream 1&2 pipeline??????????????????

Western media reports have claimed a “state actor” probably Russia caused explosions on the major gas pipelines the Nord Stream I and II. The pipelines run underwater in the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany and the explosions occurred just along the coasts of Sweden and Demark. After this the Western media were in overdrive.

While the Swedish domestic security agency said they had suspicion of “serious sabotage” and left it at that the US and UK went into overdrive. A Sky news report said that the explosions were a “premediated attack” stating that the “mines could have been lowered to the seabed on a long line, dropped over the side of a boat or placed next to the Nord Stream pipelines with an underwater drone months or even years ago.”??????????????????????

Myth?????

Here is proof of why that couldn’t have happened. A US naval report on its official website stated, “Sixteen NATO Allied and partner nations concluded the 51st iteration of Baltic Operations 2022… which featured 47 ships, 89 aircraft, and 7,000 personnel in the Baltic Sea.” This 13-day exercise was done in June 2022.

What’s more interesting is this in the report. “Scientists from five nations brought the latest advancements in Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) mine hunting technology to the Baltic Sea to demonstrate the vehicle’s effectiveness in operational scenarios.”

So clearly not only does Nato’s navy have full control over the Baltic Sea they also indulged in UUV exercises in June this year. This is from the US Navy’s own official website.???

Here’s a more damning piece of evidence suggesting Nato’s interests in the Russia-Ukraine war. This is what an NYT report had to say in just September this year.

“Military officials from more than 40 countries gathered at NATO’s headquarters in Brussels on Wednesday to discuss how their governments can ramp up production of arms and ammunition… The meeting was held under the auspices of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) which the U.S. Defense Department created after Russia invaded the country in late February.”

What does this prove? This proves that the speed at which the US created the UDCG with 40 countries suggests that Washington was ready for the invasion and had the organisation and firepower in place. Makes one pause to think.??????????????

Saudi-Russian collusion on oil production cut

This is possibly the most laughable bit of journalism there has been so far. After OPEC+ nations announced a production cut the focus suddenly moved towards ‘Putin and the prince’ (Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman) accusing them of a collusion. The Guardian went as far to say that in 2016 the “30-year-old prince summoned British diplomats, among them senior MI6 officers, to Riyadh. Really? The Saudi Crown Prince would ask the West’s help on how to deal with Russia’s president. Leave that aside, this gets even better.

The Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman publicly rebuked and refused to take questions from Reuters at a press conference stating that they had “got it wrong twice and you’ll get it wrong the third time,”

The prince said in a video now shared on social media, that Reuters had not once but twice published articles about Saudi Arabia and Russia cooperating on targeting $100 per barrel oil when he had spent 25 minutes explaining the Kingdom’s position to them. Instead they had gone ahead and quoted “phantom sources”

“I am the Energy Minister, I am your source,” he said.?????

These are the lies and half-truths and I just found them by google search and YouTube videos linking to reliable sources. I am sharing this because we are being constantly lied to, the narrative is false and global disaster is happening as a result.

Finally, the price for speaking out is high.

A British Labour MP Angelo Sanchez of Leicester South CLP was suspended from the Party because he dared to speak his mind. Refusing a motion to send weapons to Ukraine he said, “It means that the future Labour government would be sending money to a government, the Ukrainian government, that is repressing the left in their own country, a government that is criminalising socialist parties and imprisoning Ukrainian activists."?

More interestingly where did this story appear? Not Sky. Guardian or the BBC who have been covering Ukraine non-stop but the morning star. If you do a google search you'll find this is the only paper to carry the news in full.???

Lessons to draw from this

1/ Ask questions and search: Google is an American entity it does not give you the full picture?

2/ CNN, Guardian, New York Times’s narrative is stronger but it is not right. Please research further because if you are like me you will hate being lied to.

3/ The crackdown will get worse: Biden’s mid-term polls will most probably change nothing for the US as Ukraine is a bipartisan effort and India should be prepared. The US ambassador to Pakistan’s visit to POK and calling it ‘Azad Kashmir’ and offer to sell F-16s to Pakistan are ‘old tricks’ but with the stakes this high for Washington there will possibly be more to follow.?????????????
