Why we're filming a series on kicking failure in the a** [RSVP for tickets]

tl;dr - you're invited to the live audience filming of The Warm Intro, ft. Bobby Healy, Shekinah Aduwemi, and other Dublin tech leaders talking about overcoming failure, success mindsets, and embracing the struggle.
So here's the thing.
We all know that success is not a straight-line path, so why is all the advice around success all the same cliche stuff? Every time I see “successful" people up on stage, all I hear about are surface-level success one-liners that you and I have heard enough of.
Things like:
“Just don’t give up”
“Just keep hustling”
“You need to have a vision”
I don’t know about you, but this picture-perfect “advice" stuff never moved me. Especially when I’m going through a period of defeat or failure. I’ve always believed in the power of following the process, and having the right mindset as the sole differentiator between those who “make it” and those who don’t.
I just wished I’ve had access to the people who’ve been there, done that to share with me what their mindset is like. How they see failure, and how they battled through their own hard times. People who can help me answer my question of:
When the going gets tough, how do you keep yourself in the game mentally and keep pushing?
What if I can get face time with sought-after people who already made it, cut the b/s, and get personal about their mindset around hardships, failures, and all that life has thrown their way. I'd ask to hear about their war stories. I'd ask them about the valleys they endured. Maybe hearing those will help me conquer mine - not if - but when I arrive at hardships.
Rather than have these conversations and seek inspiration and wisdom from them behind closed doors, me and the team recognized that this is something that a lot of our friends in the community can equally find inspiration and motivation in.
The Warm Intro was born, a new upcoming tribetactics original series. An Oprah Winfrey-style show for the Dublin B2B community, if you will. We decided we want to open it up to a small, invite-only live audience while we film these fireside chats at Huckletree for a chance to network and ask the speakers questions - before we release the footage and content to the public.
It may not appeal to everyone, because its way easier to listen to success stories than war stories. We’re trying to get the right mix of corporates and startups to attend and are keeping it invite-only. Whether you're a director, VP, company founder, or individual contributor going through sh** on your journey towards leaving a lasting impact, this show is for you.
If you are interested to apply for free tickets to attend and participate in the live filming, you can do so here (add my name in the ‘invited by’ section) and you'll receive a confirmation once a seat can be confirmed for you and a +1.
