7 年True, and it follows that the more unfettered and free systems have a high degree of trust (are 'high trust' societies), and those that don't trend the opposite ('low trust').

7 年It made me think that a fully unfettered, free, completely capitalistic system might never work because of human nature. In the real world, people have "trust filters" to keep a boundary up between them and the rest of the world. Eventually, we probably need the same thing on the web.

7 年If it weren't for privacy concerns, it would not be that hard for a browser extension to analyze web traffic patterns and flag certain links as garbage. It could record low depth of traffic on search results as automated disinterest or allow explicit user feedback about links. Then annotate search engine results with the findings from the crowd.
