Why Is Web Design As We Know It Dead And What's The Solution?

Web design is dead...that's a pretty strong claim isn't it? 

You’re probably wondering: 

“WHY IS WEB DESIGN DEAD?”

and 

“WHAT’S THE SOLUTION?” 

In this post I'm going to show you why web design as we know it is dead and if you're currently thinking of designing a new website why you shouldn't.  

If you’re like most business owners you know you need a website to generate new customers. 

Everybody has a website with a flashy home page slider and an “about” page but if you think about it long and hard, how much business is your current website producing right now? 

And even if by some rare chance you are getting a lot of traffic from your website and generating business you could see an increase of at least 50-200% by applying what I’m about to share with you.

The reality is that designing a new website is going to be losing you so much money every month because web design as we know it is dead. 

If you've already got a website at the moment this might in fact be the third or fourth time you’ve decided you need a new website because your current website is not producing results and you think that designing a new one is the solution. 

Your website is not the problem! 

You see most web designers make things look nice which is great, but what would you rather a website that produces customers or a website that looks pretty?  

Your website has 8 seconds to grab someones attention to take action or they’re gone forever.

The idea that a pretty website is going to get people to take action is crazy! It just doesn’t happen and for that reason web design as we know it is dead.  

So what’s the solution?

Before I tell you the solution I want to tell you a quick story

Did you know that it costs McDonalds $1.91 in advertising to get you into the drive through...?And when they sell you a burger for $2.09, they ONLY make $0.18... 

But... when they upsell you fries and a coke for $1.77 more, they make (and more importantly KEEP $1.32 profit).  

Yes, 8 times the profit of the initial sale!

Pretty cool, don't you think? 

But, what does that have to do with you?

Well, If you're like most people, you’ve paid a web designer to set up a website that hasn’t produced the results you wanted. 

You’ve paid a company for SEO that didn’t even get you on the first page of google and you’re only breaking even on your advertising spend. 

And that's when you realize that if you want to generate more customers online, you can't send them to a flat website. That’s just a waste of traffic. When you send traffic to a website there are a million different distractions and if you don’t get them to take action after 8 seconds they’re gone forever.

You need to do what McDonalds did, and setup an actual ‘Direct Response Sales Funnel.’

A “Direct Response Sales Funnel” turns strangers into customers in the fastest and most profitable way. 

You don’t have people go through a drive-in window like McDonald’s do...
…online they go through a "capture page" where you can gather their contact information and follow up with them through email...

Then instead of selling them a burger, you have a sales page created to sell your initial product.

And while you’re probably not going to offer your customers fries and a coke… you could upsell them on your other products and services. 

You have seen it work for McDonald’s, you see companies like Amazon, Vistaprint, and other companies who are dominating there industry using it…and you KNOW it will work for you. 

This is what we call a “Direct Response Sales Funnel”

Website visitors come in the top and new customers come out the bottom
