Why we use 50 Ohm Impedance for Impedance Matching?
Because a coaxial transmission line impedance of 77 ohms provides the lowest loss, while 30 ohms provides the highest power handling for a given cable size, both assuming air dielectric and identical inner and outer conductor material...So we use (77+30)/2=53.5 around 50 Ohm.
