Why we are scared to put ourselves out there?
Why did I start?
I started blogging and podcasting when I was 19 years old. I started it as I thought it was fun and creative.
By sharing my personal experiences on blogs and podcasts my main intention is to connect with my peers and make new friends.
Right now in my journey, I know that I might seem off as just another random person sharing their views on the internet. Right now I do not have any credibility nor do I possess any specific knowledge that can add value to other people, but I’m am learning new things and I hope that eventually one day I will be able to help a lot of people with my specialized knowledge on a certain topic.
Until then, I aim to keep posting my experiences, reflections, and opinions to connect with me at least 1 or 2 people. Over the long term, I can grow my audience.
Before I posted my first podcast episode, I didn’t think too much. Once I posted it that’s when I started to think- “How will people look at me now?”. I delayed the second podcast episode for 1 month because of this one question.
What helped me get past the hesitation?
I sat and reflected. I realized that putting out content is not very different from raising your hand in class and asking a question. When you raise your hand in class, no one judges you, in reality, I have noticed that they listen to you even more carefully.

When I see youtube vloggers or Instagram influencers, my first reaction is that at least someone is doing something different in their life. Then why can’t I do it too?.
Conclusion-
When you post content online, there can be two major reactions.
One group of people will think –?A fellow human being is sharing his/her experiences online, he/she is so cool.?
The other group of people might think-?What an idiot! , he/she is just trying to show off.?
Make your content only for the first group of people. Once you start focusing on the positive, putting your views online will get easier.?
