Why We Are NOT Afraid of This Wild Economy

A couple of weeks ago at our monthly town hall meeting, our leadership team took a moment to do what a lot of real estate companies are pretending to ignore: acknowledge this wild economy.?

Here’s what we all know: The United States is on the brink of a recession. Some say we are already in it, some say we are just about to begin, others say it will be a flash in the pan and the economy will bounce back quickly.?

Regardless of where you stand on this, inflation rates and interest rates are interconnected, and week over week they push each other higher. As stocks, the general market, and our nation’s buying sentiment fades (and gas prices rise), we wanted to communicate one thing to our team and our community: we are not afraid.

A season like this is one of the reasons we developed 6th Ave Homes the way we did. It was our goal to create a company and products that could pivot in a variety of economic situations, allowing us to serve our team and our community exactly where they’re at.

6th Ave Homes is a one-stop-shop that offers our clients the opportunity to buy, sell, design, or renovate their home. This allows us to pivot during changing times. For example, when the pandemic began, people were eager to make the homes they were bound to feel a little more like them, so we were flooded with design consults. These design consults quickly led to construction projects, but as interest rates dropped and the housing market soared, we were able to pour resources into helping people sell, buy, or refinance.?

Where a traditional brokerage or construction company may fear this downturn, we’re excitedly searching for new and better ways to serve our clients.
