This year at JEC we take a deeper look into our structural adhesive solutions for liquid shim, potting compounds, metal bonding and repair and surfacing film for the OEM and MRO aerospace industry. With a broad range of fast curing Loctite liquid shim materials and Loctite surfacing films, we have a light weight solution for even the heaviest problems and toughest conditions. Fuselage, wing components, and interior panels, are all equally important applications that can be improved with our new Loctite potting compounds for honeycomb sandwich assemblies used in the aerospace industry. In addition, to serve this growing demand for high-impact solutions in the market, Henkel has started the construction of a new production facility for aerospace materials at its site in Montornès del Vallès, Spain. The facility will include new buildings and equipment for additional production and warehouse capacities to further support key trends in the industry such as light weighting and automation. Due to the proximity to several sites of global key customer Airbus, Montornès will become Henkel’s European hub for the aerospace industry.
