Adoption of Hyperscale Specifications: The demand for modules that adhere to hyperscale specifications is rising as customers seek solutions that offer durability, longevity, and a low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Historically, modular solutions served as throwaway deployments for telecom equipment, typically involving small deployments of 2-3 racks with costs ranging from $50,000 to $100,000. However, the landscape has shifted dramatically towards more substantial investments in standard compute racks, now priced between $300,000 and $500,000, and configurations expanding to include 6-12 racks. This shift represents a move towards larger-scale deployments and a significant uptick in financial commitment.

This trend is particularly evident in High-Performance Computing (HPC), where the stakes are even higher. Investments per rack can escalate to $2-3 million, elevating module valuations to a staggering $32 million to $96 million range. Such figures underscore an evolution in the approach to modular infrastructure—from provisional setups to critical, long-term investments. This evolution is driven by the increasing demands of data-intensive applications and the need for agile, scalable infrastructure that can support rapid growth and technological advancement.
