Why We Meditate

When in the formulation and through the existence phases of an organization, you continually ask and answer these four fundamental questions.

  1. Who are we?
  2. What do we do??
  3. How do we do it??
  4. What's our offer?

  1. Who are we? We are late-aged professionals, who have departed their careers, exploring the best way to live the last third of our lives. Our intention is to become contemporary elders.?
  2. What do we do? We have online meetings, retreats, readings, individual interactions, and videos to unlock ourselves from our past and what the culture tells us about how we should age. We work on altering our relationship to aging, death, and dying,?
  3. How do we do it? We use Mediation, Hatha Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Mindful Movement, Socratic and Appreciative Inquiry, to shift from older to elder, age to sage, and resignation to renewal.?
  4. What's the offer? We offer membership into a unique group, the Sangha, that supports you in transforming your late life into something that is created rather than following the dictates of the culture.?

Given that most choices are not only based on information but in large part on experience, here is a video of one of the Elder Council members. Judy is our Hatha Yoga and Meditation teacher. Being with her, you'll get a direct experience of the Sangha and the kind of people who are members. For further exploration, visit our Contemporary Elder Institute at?www.requestingwisdom.com
