WHY WE MAKE MISTAKES?

By Dr.T.V.Rao MD Making mistakes is part of being human, and it's something that we can learn from as a way to improve our understanding about ourselves and the world around us. Mistakes and the fear of them isn't a necessary evil, rather, it's the only sustainable path towards growth, success, and wisdom. No day in our lives goes without making mistakes, and they become the better part of our lives. However the correction of our mistakes makes us better professionals, in the competitive world. We should be concerned about our mistakes it may cost many better things in our life, Why do otherwise intelligent people make obvious mistakes? Why are we so easily distracted? Why do we often miss what's right in front of our eyes? Why do we make mistakes? And could we do a little better. In the early 1980s a group of Mayo Clinic doctors decided to look at old chest x-rays of patients who later developed lung cancer. The radiologists who had initially checked the scans had found them to be normal, but the team re-examining them saw that 90 percent of the tumors had actually been clearly visible. (Scientific American) But it’s not just the limitations of our brains that cause us to make mistakes; equally at fault are our surroundings, which are often at odds, disturbing professional surroundings with the way the human mind work. Why We Make Mistakes is an eye-opening account of our brain’s imperfections and a frightening report of how little we do as a society to keep these shortcomings from becoming dangerous. If we observe the errors among the professional, more they were seniors they do make bigger mistakes, and then believe in Darwin theory. Among the many astute observations made by Charles Darwin is this gem: “Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than doe’s knowledge. I wish all of us to look at what we have prescribed and written in our patient case sheets, or our laboratory reports, will teach have we learnt any lesson from our mistakes.” Everyone’s life teaches mistakes are inevitable, learning from mistakes and going against odds with courage and determination makes us to be better individuals in tn many cases, our mistakes are not our fault, at least not entirely. For we are all afflicted with certain systemic biases in the way we see, remember, and perceive the world around us, and these biases make us prone to commit certain kinds of errors. even can affect our career ?

However we continue to make many more mistakes if we do not accept the truth ???
