Why Are We Here?

We did not come into this world to fix others. We are here to fix ourselves. 

Whatever your religion or beliefs, being in the presence of truly spiritual people who inspire us, and then learning about them and reading their holy books, awakens our souls and arouses us to want to develop spiritually. 

The holy books of every major religion teach a crucial insight for all of us: our souls come to this world to attain spiritual elevation. We are all here to work on ourselves and to elevate our spirit. To do that, we must transform ours desire to receive to a desire to give.

Unconditionally.  

Whether you are a religious person, a spiritual person or agnostic - we all intuitively know that selfishness is unacceptable and that our personal and collective happiness depend on us attaining the state of loving others unconditionally, and seeing the good in others, especially those we don’t like.

For some of us, we need to start by forgiving ourselves.

We all suffer, and despite whatever we are still carrying within us - we are all worthy of love, and fresh starts. Unconditional love is a state of love that is not based on what we are receiving, but rather the joy we give ourselves and especially the feelings we give others when we too enjoy in their happiness and care deeply for their well-being too. Begin with yourself first, then your own parents, grandparents, siblings, spouses, ex-spouses, children, and grandchildren. Leave in your wake a warm blanket of unconditional love for your family to wrap themselves around - and leave them all wanting to role model your example. Not only in these special holidays. 

Always.

All our souls are divine. Thus, the desire to experience the Divine and the desire to be in the state of giving always exist within ourselves. I hope the more we all progress in our own spiritual work, the more we will all experience a Divine presence in even the most simplest parts of our daily lives.
