Why we have too few women leaders

I like to often share things or people who are or have inspired me in my personal and professional journey. Today I’ve been looking to Sheryl Sandberg (COO Facebook) for inspiration and my goal is to achieve great success in my career as she has.
As an Executive Leader at Mosaic I’ve been leading a Women’s Leadership Group who's sole purpose is to inspire, engage and focus on leadership strategies that will help in the personal and professional development of our future women leaders. Sheryl Sandberg's “Lean In Circles” have been of great interest. I ran across this video and shared this TED video at our most recent meeting that really resonated with me. Thought I’d share the video and my takeaways.

Lean In- Believe in yourself, negotiate for yourself, Own your own success! Be your biggest cheerleader, you’re worth it!
Lean In- Get off the sidelines and “Take” a seat at the table “expect it”. Your voice “is” important.
Lean In- Dear Wife, Mother and Professional Leader, make your partner a real partner in the home. Make time for YOUR personal and professional growth too!
Lean In - Don’t leave before you leave. Don’t lean back on your career and goals. Lean In keep your foot on the gas pedal!
